Whatever you might be facing I am here to support you as you find your way. Anxiety, depression, frustration in relationships or at work, anger, and grief are some of the most common and difficult emotions we can experience. I will support you to find the best approach to develop your skills and strengths so you can reclaim a sense of control in the midst of your current challenges, and self-confidence to manage future ones.
The counselling can draw from a range of different evidence-based approaches including psycho-education, cognitive behavior therapy, relaxation strategies, skills training, including skills for problem solving and improving communication, as well as anger and stress management.
The counselling approach we decide on will be determined by your preferences, as these make an important contribution to the counselling's outcome. Together, we will determine the approach that you believe you are most likely to engage with and benefit from. The preferences we will discuss include whether you want to address specific goals, want to focus on your thoughts or your feelings, want to reflect on your childhood or stay in the present, and want the approach to be supportive or challenging.
Please contact me if you would like to make an appointment or discuss your counselling further.
