Lauren Ross

Lauren is an engaging and caring psychologist who has experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, social anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, LGBTQIA+ related concerns, sex and intimacy concerns, body image and eating concerns, difficulties with self-esteem and assertiveness, and unexplained physical symptoms (e.g., gastrointestinal concerns).

Lauren aims to work collaboratively and provide a safe space for the expression of ones authentic self. Lauren strives for a strong and honest therapeutic relationship, and believes this creates an opportunity for people to explore what is causing their difficulties whilst also facilitating the space for growth and change.

Lauren integrates evidence-based treatment models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Mindfulness Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Lauren predominantly works from a Psychodynamic framework, and is currently undergoing training in ISTDP. Lauren obtained her Clinical Psychology training at the University of Melbourne and has worked in both private clinics and in public contexts, including at Thorne Harbour Health and the Royal Children's Hospital.
