As a relational Gestalt psychotherapist, I feel genuinely grateful to do work that I love and feel both humbled and honoured to sit with people during some of their most vulnerable and authentic moments. My psychotherapy practice in Carlton and Essendon is informed not only by my professional training but also by my own lived experience of a personal therapeutic journey. I understand what it’s like to sit on the other side of the room, and I have a deep appreciation for how difficult life can feel at times. This, coupled with my belief that everyone deserves a safe space to be seen, heard, and understood, is what inspires me to offer accessible and affordable Gestalt psychotherapy.
I place an emphasis on the development of a healing and supportive therapeutic relationship, as research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy, often more so than any specific intervention or technique. This means I don't hide behind fancy interventions or create a dynamic of being the all-knowing therapist. Instead, I relate to you from a place of equality and authenticity. My aim is to help you face the parts of yourself and your experience that have perhaps until now felt too hard to hold or acknowledge while relating to you with empathy, compassion, and care.
