I am a registered psychologist in Australia with endorsement in both clinical and forensic psychology with the Psychology Board of Australia (under AHPRA). My qualifications include Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Psychology degrees, as well as a Diploma of Clinical Hypnosis. I am a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and am a Fellow (and past-chair of the Victorian Branch) of the APS College of Forensic Psychologists and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. I am also a member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law. I am employed as Principal Consultant Psychologist with Forensicare, based at the Community Forensic Mental Health Service in Clifton Hill. I have worked as a clinical and forensic psychologist in a variety of settings for over 30 years, and have also worked in the non-government sector.
My clinical interests include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety and self-esteem; working with anger, violence & problem behaviours; sleep; engaging with difficult & reluctant clients; stress management/ relaxation/ meditation/ mindfulness; and group work/ group dynamics. I am also interested in how the work affects staff who work in organisations, working with staff & team dynamics, and how to survive & flourish while working within a multidisciplinary team. I also provide clinical supervision to registered psychologists.
Other interests include martial arts (taekwondo, jujitsu and boxing), overseas bike touring & road cycling, and meditation.
